The interplay of closeness and distance is the quintessence of my photography – you can experience this in my HOMMAGE project. Tarifa, just 12 kilometres from another continent, radiates a mystical unfamiliarity that is intensified by the onset of another culture and world. HOMMAGE has a special emotional meaning for me, as I have never been to this place, but always knew I would be there one day. It was an arrival that didn't feel foreign, but like a reunion.
