The exhibitions

It is important for us to show our work not only online. Exhibitions allow us to engage in discourse and direct discussion with visitors - in real life and in real time.

Le sel noir

Exhibition / Lisa Marie Asubonteng
Städtische Galerie Villingen-Schwenningen
15 May to 15 June 2025

Inspired by the work of the poet Édouard Glissant, the group exhibition illuminates the complex dynamics of the self between self-assertion and the perception of others. Against the backdrop of ethnicised world conditions, LE SEL NOIR reflects on representation and interpersonal interactions. It takes a critical look at inequality and paternalism.

Holy Women

Exhibition / Lisa Marie Asubonteng
Museumsquartier Osnabrück
5 May to 6 August 2023

In the shadows of Ghana's vibrant culture, too many women and children bear the scars of sexual and physical violence silently, fearing stigma and rejection. The HOLY WOMEN project arose from a personal story, transforming grief into a mighty mission to spotlight the resilience and courage of survivors. Through intimate portraits and narratives, we celebrate their unbreakable spirit and strive to shatter the silence that surrounds their experiences.
